“Carpool Karaoke: The Series”はゲストがドライブしながらカラオケするというリアリティ番組。シーズン1はApple Music、シーズン2からはApple TV限定配信になっています。

マペッツのゲスト回は2018年12月14日に配信されたSEASON 2・EPISODE 9で、俳優・コメディアンのジェームズ・サダイキスと共にエレクトリック・メイヘムのサイケデリックな車に乗っています。出演はカーミット、ピギー、フォジー、ゴンゾ、ペペ、エレクトリック・メイヘム、ペンギンたちなど。
各キャラクターの公式Twitterが、それぞれ本編動画の一部をアップしています。21分間でこれだけキャラクターが出るとなると、結構盛りだくさんになってそう。

単発ゲストとはいえ、2016年のドラマ終了後、マペッツが揃って長時間の番組に出演するのはかなり久しぶりだと思います。いつか日本でも見られるようになるといいですね。
