Our producers Adam Goldberg, Bill Barretta, Michael Bostick, Jeff Yorkes, Kris Eber, David Lightbody, Leigh Slaughter and Michael Steinbach. You and the writers worked tirelessly to create the fantasticabulous groovalicious world of the show. It was a joy to get to perform these scripts.
Our talented human cast Lilly Singh, Tahj Mowry, Saara Chaudry and Anders Holm — and I was honored to work every day with you. And to the guest stars including Paula Abdul, Sofia Carson, Billy Corgan, Deadmau5, Peter Jackson, Joe LoTruglio, Jack McBrayer, Kristen Schaal, Kevin Smith, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Zedd and so many others — I was honored to get to work with you (and finally MEET you, ”Weird Al”).
Our crew: directors, camera operators, grips, props, sound, lighting, post-production, music department, song writers and producers, everyone—and especially The Muppet Workshop—you are all top tier and you brought all of that to The Muppets Mayhem.
My family below the frame (Dave, Bill, Eric, David, Peter, Leslie, and our incredible cast of Additional Muppet Performers). We made a show that shed a new, silly, and wonderful light on The Electric Mayhem band. We got to tell with these characters that were offbeat, interesting, funny, strangely human, and often touching. I love you all and will treasure my time with you both on and off camera.
I’m sad that we don’t get to continue and “take this show on the road”, but I imagine the band would be getting into trouble, having a lot of misadventures, and bringing music and joy to everyone they’d meet along the way.
There WILL be more Muppets stuff. And we’ll be creating it with the same love, authenticity, and intention that The Muppets Mayhem was made. You can bet on it. I’m well aware that The Muppets are a niche thing. But the world NEEDS niche things. And I think they NEED The Muppets as well. So here’s to the next adventure."
